Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has once again become a partner of the Tastes of Russia, a major gastronomic event. The Company’s pavilion on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow hosts cooking master classes and creative workshops for children.
Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and supported by the Moscow Government, the Tastes of Russia Festival is taking place in Moscow from July 7 to 16. The event’s purpose is to spotlight the unique character and variety of regional foods and cuisine.
Cherkizovo Group is a partner of the festival for the second year running. In a pavilion built specifically for the event, the Company held unique master classes on cooking meat dishes using Petelinka, Latifa, and Pava-Pava products. Combined, they make up more than 20 recipes for the event’s visitors to try and cook under the guidance of professional chefs. The list is very diverse and includes both well-known dishes such as okroshka or satsivi, and options that are exotic for most of the Moscow residents: Ural posikunchiki, Sakhalin-style tonkatsu, or Stavropol yogurt soup with turkey, chili, and cucumber.
Every day, Cherkizovo holds two or three master classes for adult guests, as well as exciting creative workshops for kids, such as modeling salt dough to color the shapes afterwards and painting wood carvings (the Petelinka brand logo).
“We have created a very extensive and exciting program. In addition to raising awareness about our products, it is also designed to impress the festival's guests with the variety of meat dishes that everyone can cook. The number of visitors at our master classes proves that we have succeeded in achieving both of these objectives,” commented Victoria Baltais, Marketing Director for Fresh Products at Cherkizovo Trade House.
The organizers estimate that more than 300 producers from 70 regions of Russia take part in the Tastes of Russia national gastronomic event this year. At the festival’s main location on Manezhnaya Square, guests can try out various foods and also take part in cultural activities.
