At the end of the academic year, Cherkizovo Group is offering summer internships to students and graduates. A total of 300 people have already signed up, with another 300 planned to be enrolled. Internships are a great opportunity to get a future job at Russia’s largest meat producer.
Cherkizovo Group has strong ties with educational institutions in 18 Russian regions where its production facilities are located. This way the Company contributes to enhancing agricultural training in Russia and helps students develop strong expertise in the field. To provide students an opportunity to learn about the operation of pig and poultry farms and meat processing facilities, Cherkizovo offers tours and lectures, both on the ground and virtually.
Students that wish to get hands-on work experience at the Company's sites can choose from a number of options. First, there is a dual learning program: for a duration of two years, students attend classes at their universities three days a week and work at Cherkizovo for the remaining two days. In 2022, the program had over 70 students enrolled.
Second, as part of summer internships, Cherkizovo runs a student labor group project, which helps young talent master the basics of their professions within a span of two to three months of practical work. This option is also a great opportunity as it is offered on a paid basis. As an example, for those looking to get qualifications as a tractor driver, Cherkizovo additionally provides training required to get С and D category driving licenses. Since the beginning of the year, some 300 people have already signed up for student labor groups, and another 300 are expected to join until the end of summer.
For final year students, Cherkizovo Group has internships that focus on hands-on preparation for future employment over the course of six months. Each year, some 200 graduates take up positions of interns at the Company's facilities.
This year, Cherkizovo production sites are ready to welcome all students willing to be enrolled in various internship programs, with a potential opportunity of future employment with the Company. All new starters benefit from a mentorship program as part of their onboarding process. In addition to decent pay, Cherkizovo offers various types of support for young talent, providing assistance with relocation and reimbursing the cost of housing.
