Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, continues its tradition of providing school kits to first-graders on the eve of September 1. It will be the Company’s largest campaign for the Knowledge Day, with more than 2,000 kids from different regions across Russia receiving everything they need for their studies.
Cherkizovo Group has prepared gift sets for the beginning of the school year for first-graders living in Moscow, Altai Territory, and the Moscow, Tula, Belgorod, Lipetsk, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Kursk, Bryansk and Voronezh regions. This year, for the first time ever, the campaign also covers first-graders from the Orenburg and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as Bashkiria. Cherkizovo Group has been operating in the three regions since it acquired local meat production facilities in late 2022.
The gifts include stationery (pens, pencils, notebooks, rulers, erasers, and sketchbooks), playdough and playdough board, as well as branded shoe bags. Some of the recipients are children from large, low-income and disadvantaged families. Cherkizovo employees, local social services and charity foundations deliver and hand over the gifts to first-graders. More than 2,000 gifts were prepared, twice as many as the year before.
In addition to school kits for first-graders, Cherkizovo Group also provided financial assistance to several schools in Bashkiria, the Orel, Ulyanovsk and Belgorod regions.
«Giving September 1 gifts to children who are about to pursue the path of knowledge is one of our favorite annual charity initiatives, and we are happy to extend it to regions where we started operating just recently. Our warm congratulations to everyone who is about to begin their school year. We hope that for all the newcomers, school becomes a second home and a place of daily discoveries that will help explore the world around,» said Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of Communications at Cherkizovo Group.
