Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, is taking part in the first Made in Russia festival organized by the Russian Export Center. On the festival’s first days, the Company held a series of meetings with potential partners – Chinese importers of poultry and pork meat.
The Made in Russia festival is held in Shenyang, China, from January 27 to February 4 as part of the International Cooperation and Exports National Project. The festival showcases about 1,500 items, including meat, sweets, drinks, natural dairy products, fresh seafood, and other products of Russian manufacturers. More than 130 companies from some 30 Russian regions are taking part in the pilot festival.
Cherkizovo Group is a co-sponsor of the fair’s cultural program. On its opening day, Shenyang residents met Olympic champion Anna Shcherbakova, saw performances by the Karusel ensemble and Russian singer Nikita Osin, and attended master classes in Gzhel and Khokhloma folk painting.
During the exhibition, representatives of Cherkizovo Group supported by the Russian Export Center held negotiations with Chinese companies from the Liaoning Province and other regions of China. The meetings discussed ramping up exports of chicken products (feet, wings), as well as prospects for launching pork supplies.
“Taking part in the Made in Russia festival in China is a major step forward in bolstering Cherkizovo’s international trade. Today, China, Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Economic Union markets, as well as Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, account for the bulk of our exports. Still, we seek to strengthen our position in the global markets by offering our customers in China and other countries a wide range of high-quality meat products,” says Natalia Bartnovskaya, Head of Export Development at Trading Company Cherkizovo.
“The festival’s mission is to create an image of Russia as a reliable partner. The synergies offered by promoting Russian products, culture, sports, and traditions lie at the heart of our new export promotion format and help support this cause. We have brought all the best things Made in Russia, namely our hospitality, traditions, and eco-friendly, high-quality, delicious products, to China. We are confident that this will bring our countries a little closer to each other,” stressed Veronika Nikishina, General Director of Russian Export Center.
