Cherkizovo notches 19 gold medals at Prodexpo 2022

Moscow, Russia – February 17 – Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat manufacturer, presented its products at the Prodexpo 2022 international exhibition and took home a number of awards. The Petelinka, Cherkizovo, and Pava-Pava brands netted the Company 19 gold medals. Furthermore, Cherkizovo-branded sausages and meat snacks received diplomas as part of the Choice of Retail Chains competition.

The Best Product 2022 competition held during the 29th international Prodexpo exhibition saw Petelinka products amass 14 gold medals. The winners were the Four Peppers oven-ready chicken hips with sauce, Po-petelinski cutlets, Petelinka cevapcici, Medallion fillet, breast fillet cubes, Chicken Kiev cutlets, breast and thigh fillet cutlets, breast fillet, thigh fillet, breast fillet steak, schnitzel, Premium minced meat, chicken tabaka, and oven-ready whole chicken. Three gold medals went to pork products under the Cherkizovo brand, namely 10% fat meatballs, ginger-marinated pork loin with paprika (whiskey-flavoured), and cevapcici from ground pork and beef.

The Company collected two more golds at the Innovative Product competition, a longstanding part of Prodexpo. The top spots in the Innovations in Convenient Consumption category went to Cherkizovo Premium’s turkey snack (2021 marked the Company’s first ingress into the meat snack segment) and Pava-Pava’s turkey breast fillet roll with vegetables and spices.

The Choice of Retail Chains competition, which is judged by procurers from the leading federal and regional retailers, recognized the Cherkizovo brand’s sausages with diplomas. The winners were Braunschweig GOST dry sausage (for a second year running), the Po-Cherkizovsky ham, and the Cherkizovo Premium sweet chili meat snacks.

Prodexpo 2022 participants and other attendees had the opportunity to see and sample Cherkizovo Group’s acclaimed products at the Company stand. “It makes us proud to see our flagship brands win so many accolades at Prodexpo. The Prodexpo International Exhibition took place at Moscow’s Expocenter on February 7–11. Prodexpo is a major food and beverage industry event that has long shaped the domestic food sector. Prodexpo 2022 was attended by over 1.5 thousand companies from 44 countries.
