Moscow, Russia — December 29 — Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has prepared for the upcoming holiday season by providing gift sets for children in need. In addition, Company employees have collected toys for the Podari Zhizn charity foundation.
Every late December, Cherkizovo Group runs holiday season charity initiatives in the regions where it operates. This year, the Company prepared over 3,000 gifts for children from the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Moscow, Orenburg, Orel, Penza, Tambov and Tula regions, the Altai Krai and Moscow. Gift sets consisting of candy bags, stuffed toys and board games were given to children from large and low-income families, kids in orphanages and other childcare facilities, as well as children with special needs.
In addition, in December our Moscow-based headquarters hosted the now traditional New Year Tree of Kindness campaign run jointly with the Podari Zhizn foundation. The charity seeks to help children who are undergoing long-term treatment for cancer and hematologic diseases and who have to spend the holiday season in hospital. This year, Company employees helped collect about 150 gifts for the charity’s beneficiaries.
