Sochi, Russia – June 15 – Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has become a partner of the Gastreet festival in Sochi, which brings together the restaurant market professionals. A two-story Cherkizovo restaurant built for the event served the products from the Company’s foodservice offering.
The Gastreet outdoor festival took place from June 6 to 9 at the Krasnaya Polyana resort. Every year, it attracts chefs, restaurateurs and other participants of the restaurant market. The festival features lectures, seminars and workshops serving as a great setting for informal networking.
One of the Gastreet events was a panel session with suppliers titled What about food supplies?, in which Konstantin Kononov, Executive Director of Foodservice Sales at Cherkizovo, took part. In his speech, he shared the Company’s experience in maintaining uninterrupted supply of the core assortment and noted the growing consumption of chicken and turkey dishes in the HoReCa segment. “That is why Cherkizovo is focusing on the development of the ready-to-cook chicken products and sausages in this sales channel,” said Mr Kononov.
This year, the two-story restaurant built by Cherkizovo became one of the festival food outlets, as well as a venue for tasting products developed for the eating-out market. It served chicken nuggets, strips and cutlets produced by our Compass Foods facility (Tula Region), as well as meatballs manufactured by Pit-Product (Gorelovo, Leningrad Region).
Over several days of the festival, Cherkizovo representatives held a series of meetings with partners: the Burger King, Domino’s and AnderSon restaurant chains, the Elementaree food and meal kit delivery service, and Vostok-Zapad, a major food supplier to HoReCa customers. The meetings centered around the further strengthening of cooperation in terms of expanding the range of products supplied by Cherkizovo.
