Pravdinsk, Russia – May 26 – Cherkizovo Group’s Otechestvenny Product has unveiled a new microbiology laboratory, which will help ramp up scrutiny over the quality of incoming raw materials and finished products.
The laboratory was opened at Otechestvenny Product’s new production facility manufacturing beef patties for Burger King restaurants across the country. It has all the necessary equipment, chemical reagents and consumables, and first-class professionals.
Prior to the launch, the laboratory was inspected by the Kaliningrad Region’s branch of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Welfare. The check was completed successfully, as the regulator found no issues to be addressed and recognized the laboratory as one of the best facilities in the region. The issued license covers the full range of research activities focusing on incoming raw materials, finished products, and sanitary characteristics of the production site.
Otechestvenny Product was founded in 1999 and became part of Cherkizovo Group in 2010. The facility produces over 11,000 tonnes of ham per year (Cherkizovo and Imperiya Vkusa brands) and employs more than 300 people.
