Moscow, Russia – September 1 – Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, traditionally congratulated first-graders on the Knowledge Day. The Company donated 1,000 school kits – the largest number of gifts ever provided by Cherkizovo to mark the beginning of the academic year.
The kits went to first-graders in Moscow and the Belgorod, Bryansk, Penza, Orel, Tula, and Lipetsk regions. The gifts include stationery (pens, pencils, notebooks, sketchbooks, etc.) and branded shoe bags. Some of the recipients are children from low-income and disadvantaged families.
Cherkizovo employees and local social workers delivered and handed over the gifts to first-graders. This year, Cherkizovo gave presents to 1,000 children, the largest number ever to receive gifts from the Company.
“We extend Knowledge Day congratulations to all children. Every year, we try to send our gifts to an increasing number of first-graders in the regions where Cherkizovo operates. We hope time spent at school will help them make interesting discoveries, find their purpose in life, and be successful,” said Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of Communications at Cherkizovo Group.
This year, Cherkizovo congratulated schoolchildren not only in central Russia, but also in the most remote area of its geography – the Altai Territory. To celebrate the start of the school year, the Group’s Altaisky Broiler donated its products to 100 low-income families with children.
