Moscow, Russia, July 20 – Cherkizovo Group, Russia's largest meat producer, became a partner of a major gastronomic event – the Tastes of Russia Festival. At its venues, guests could taste many national dishes and take part in a variety of workshops, including those at Cherkizovo’s pavilion.
The Tastes of Russia National Festival took place in Moscow from July 14 to 17. It was a sequel to the last year’s contest designed to make Russians aware of the wealth of regional food brands. During the festival, residents and guests of Moscow were able to taste and purchase over 280 food brands from 65 regions (including the products of the winning brands of the Tastes of Russia competition) and take part in an extensive edutainment program.
As a partner of the event, Cherkizovo Group offered a series of unique culinary master classes. They ran daily in our dedicated pavilion on the main site of the festival – Pushkinskaya Embankment in Gorky Park. Under the guidance of a celebrity chef Grigory Mosin, everyone could learn to cook original meat dishes from products under Petelinka, Pava Pava and Latifa brands.
“We were pleased to become a partner to and participate in such an unmatched event as the Tastes of Russia Festival. In fact, this is a gastronomic tour of the country, which enabled us to appreciate the diversity of national cuisines and regional recipes. The interest in this topic is really great as evidenced by the popularity of our master classes where guests could cook very different dishes, from Kuban stuffed cabbage rolls with turkey to Tatar echpochmak with chicken,” commented Victoria Baltais, Marketing Director for Fresh Products at Cherkizovo Trade House.
The Tastes of Russia featured 22 venues in Moscow. Its organizers are the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Moscow Government.
