In a speech at the “Russian Agricultural Holdings. Summer 2014” conference, Cherkizovo Group CEO Sergei Mikhailov announced that the company would concentrate its primary efforts on its Poultry Division.
“We have completed our major investment program in the Pork Division, and no new construction is planned at present,” Mr. Mikhailov said. “Capital investments in pork production this year will be about a billion roubles, mostly in construction.” According to Mr. Mikhailov, the company’s capital investments would be about 5 billion roubles, primarily for implementing the Poultry Division’s Eletsprom project.
