Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has become a partner of Rospotrebnadzor's Sanprosvet awareness and education project. By joining this project, the Company seeks to raise awareness of sanitary and epidemiological rules among its employees.
Rospotrebnadzor's Sanprosvet awareness and education project came to be in 2023. It is set to foster sanitary and hygienic basics across all age groups. Cherkizovo Group is one of the project's partners, creating awareness among more than 40,000 employees in 18 Russian regions.
As part of the project, the Company conducted a health literacy test for employees from September 12 to September 30. It was open to anyone: by clicking on the link, people had a chance of answering 20 questions on personal hygiene, sanitary and hygienic rules, and on preventing dangerous viral and infectious diseases. It was a multiple-choice test with only one correct answer.
85% of respondents among Cherkizovo employees gave correct answers to 15–20 questions. Participants were asked, for example, about the timing of the flu vaccine campaign and whether using an antiseptic agent is an alternative to washing hands with soap.
As a food producer and responsible employer, Cherkizovo Group is committed to ensuring that all of its employees possess comprehensive knowledge of sanitary and epidemiological safety. To this end, starting this summer the Company has been raising employee awareness of the basic rules in this field by displaying on screens multimedia materials developed by Rospotrebnadzor’s leading research experts.
